City Year

"City Year is an AmeriCorps educational nonprofit that brings together 17-24 year olds for a year of full-time service to serve as tutors, mentors, and role models in high need communities. City Year is located in 25 cities across the United States and in 3 international sites (London, Birmingham, and Johannesburg). In Los Angeles, we serve at 25 schools across LAUSD. We serve several other schools in the Watts community including Compton Ave. Elementary and Markham Middle School which both feed into Jordan. So now that we are at Jordan, we are proud to be able to say that some of our students have seen City Year in their schools since they were in the third grade."
